FAQs

What is the difference between Marijuana and Hemp?

Marijuana and hemp come from the same species of plants, but each has its own unique characteristics. Hemp is completely different from mariuana in its cultivation, composition, and intention.

The most significant difference lies in their chemical composition. Hemp, by definition contains less than 0.3% THC whereas marijuana can contain upwards of 25% THC. The applications for each plant vary as well. Marijuana is cultivated for medicinal and recreational purposes. Historically, hemp has been used industrially, but recently research has been focused on its medical benefits.
